I was inspired by the rhythmic similarities between Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Kunqu (a Southern Chinese opera).

The time I set in in Zhou Dynasty (1046–771 BC)  inspired by one of the eldest Chinese myths - Classic of Mountains and Seas to create the fairies.
